Winter & Co is delighted to announce that Captain Joseph Riley and Sebastian Longhurst are now Partners of the firm as of 1st January 2024.
In addition, following successfully completing his training contract and being admitted as a Solicitor on 22nd December 2023, Robert Veal has joined the firm permanently as an Associate.
Captain Joseph Riley has worked with the team since 2018. Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor, Joseph spent 13 years at sea, the latter 4 of which he sailed as Master. During Joesph’s time with us, he has advised on both dry and wet shipping matters.
Sebastian Longhurst has worked with the team since 2015. Sebastian specialises in all aspects of dry shipping work and has considerable experience in disputes in the High Court, LMAA Arbitration, SIAC and HKIAC.
Robert Veal has worked with the team since 2021; prior to joining the firm, Robert was a Lecturer in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton for 5 years. During his time with us, Robert has provided assistance in charterparty disputes and cargo claims, both in the High Court of England & Wales and in LMAA Arbitrations.
Joseph, Sebastian and Robert are all excited to be stepping into the next stage of their career.
